Screen Actors Guild

Client: Screen Actors Guild
Archival Art Programming

Michelle Isenberg and Marc Wanamaker ( Bison Archives) created the Art Program for the Screen Actors Guild celebrating the first century of the Actor’s role in the histo-ry and development of the motion picture industry. They commissioned paintings, murals, historical photographs, Hollywood artifacts and memorabilia that illustrate the perspective of the Actor in the industry, beginning with the founding of the Guild in 1933 and continuing to the present day. One of the most important aspects of this program is the history of SAG itself. With photographs and memorabilia of the GUild’s founding, its presidents, and mem-bership, a sense of history and continuity of SAGS’s work and importance within the motion picture industry is represented.
